Pound 4 Pound HY-SCAFF charity night

Ten brave people have embarked on a journey of a life time in the name of charity. Training for approximately a period of 3 months they will be entering into the boxing ring for their first time; and will experience the nerves, the adrenaline, the exhaustion and the rush of boxing competitively as they compete to raise money for the Fight 4 Change Charity.

Fight 4 Change is a sports for development charity founded in 2010 to promote and deliver boxing and fitness activities as a pathway to change for young people living in deprived inner city areas.

Our Vision is that "Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire, it has the power to unite people in a way that little else does. It speaks to youth in a language they understand".

Our programs provide young people with positive activities in a safe environment, whilst our multi-skilled team of trained coaches, youth workers and education professionals provide mentoring and support through workshops, life- skills development and accredited training. Our approach places the sport of boxing at the heart of a wider program of youth development, addressing a range of social issues affecting our communities, including youth crime, anti-social behavior, gang mentality, educational underachievement, health, obesity, mental health issues and unemployment.

We offer sports as the initial "hook" to engage young people and provide a gateway for personal development, education and job opportunities.

The money raised will go toward continuing our existing programs enabling us to help more young people. Every £100 raised funds 6 weeks of session/workshops for our mental health programs. Every £200 raised secures one young person on our Business Start up course.
